NormaTec is the ultimate recovery device to boost blood flow and reduce pain and soreness. The technology can increase circulation and improve mobility for those who work out regularly, are training for a competition or race, experience swollen legs from traveling, stand for long hours on the job, suffer from inflammation or other circulatory issues.
NormaTec utilizes hold pressures similar to the one-way valves of veins and lymphatic vessels, preventing fluid backflow, and enhancing the natural circulatory flow. The distal release feature releases hold pressures once they are no longer needed, ensuring that each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles

Being from the West Kootenays, I had visited Kelowna many times throughout my life, so when it came time to choose a city to settle in Kelowna was an easy choice. I have always been an active individual taking part in hockey and competitive golf growing up. This led me to become interested in pursuing a career in the health care field with a specific interest in sports injuries. Watching my father, who was a ten-time Ironman competitor, being kept in top physical condition by his chiropractor I realized how much I could help enhance and maintain not only people’s athletic ability, but also their everyday quality of life by becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and went on to attend Chiropractic School at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, graduating with honors. During my time in school, I recognized the benefits of incorporating soft tissue techniques to compliment traditional chiropractic care, specifically the Graston Technique® and Active Release Techniques® (ART). Since then I have taken continuing education courses in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) which helps break down faulty movement patterns leading to a more accurate diagnosis, as well as Function Range Release (FR), another effective soft tissue treatment. I have also been fortunate to have spent time being the Chiropractor for the Okanagan Sun Football team, further increasing my knowledge of sport related injuries and their treatment/rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic of you can find me on the golf course, any of the local ski hills in the winter time or doing my most recent passion, trail running on the many amazing trails around Kelowna. Please feel free to reach out and I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your optimal level of health and fitness!

I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Kinesiology/Biology) at the University of Victoria in 2002, and then completed my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2006 (graduating Cum Laude).
A desire to live overseas quickly landed me in Perth, Australia where I worked as a chiropractor for nine years. I was fortunate to gain a significant amount of experience treating patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal health conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries. With a passion for teaching, I also spent 6 years as a clinical supervisor at Murdoch University teaching diagnostic and manual therapy skills to chiropractic students.
In 2016, I completed a Master of Science in Pain Management from the University of Sydney, Australia as well as the diplomate program in the Canadian Academy of Pain Management. With these qualifications, I am able to more thoroughly evaluate and manage patients with both acute and chronic pain.
My approach to chiropractic care emphasizes thorough evaluation and care that is evidence-informed and patient-centered. Some people prefer getting their spine ‘cracked’, while others want help with a more gentle approach. I provide either or both, and discuss with you what would be best and in line with your preferences. I have completed the ART® and Graston® courses, and use pain science education and rehabilitation to help you feel better as soon as possible.
Outside of the clinic, I keep busy with family life, coaching youth hockey and baseball, and participating in trail running, golf, and racquet sports. Should you have any questions regarding how chiropractic can be helpful for you, please feel free to contact me at the clinic.

In 2014, I moved to Kelowna, BC to pursue a Human Kinetics Degree at UBCO. This degree gave me a strong understanding about our internal body processes as well as functional and dysfunctional movement patterns. After graduating in 2018, I was left curious and keen to continue my education. Shortly after, I enrolled and completed the Massage Therapy program at OVCMT. Here, I was able to expand my understanding of not only human anatomy, physiology and neurology, but also treatment modalities and how Massage Therapy can aid in injury recovery as well as optimal health and performance.
My goal as an RMT is to help people feel their best, whether it be to recover from an injury, help calm the nervous system in today’s increasingly stressful environment, or to move with less restriction and pain in everyday life. I believe in educating clients and empowering them with information on how to connect with their body through breathing, stretching and home care exercises.
Since moving to Kelowna, I have found myself drawn to the BC lifestyle, taking advantage of the beautiful opportunities for physical activity right in our back yard. Hiking and backpacking being one of my favourite summer activities has allowed me to see so much of what this amazing province has to offer. I also enjoy climbing, yoga, surfing, biking, snowboarding and backcountry touring.

Growing up in Kelowna, B.C., my passion for healthy living and exercise blossomed early, fueled by a love for basketball and football. Having sustained my fair share of injuries playing these competitive sports, I experienced firsthand the effectiveness of manual therapy in rehabilitation. This ignited a fascination with anatomy and the human body’s complexities, leading me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics at UBC Okanagan.
Driven by a desire for continuous learning, I furthered my education at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT), graduating in 2023. Here, I delved deeper into the intricacies of the musculoskeletal system, neuroanatomy, and clinical theory. OVCMT’s clinical program also provided exceptional hands-on experience treating diverse patients with various health conditions, preparing me well for a fulfilling career as an RMT.
As a therapist, I am committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care, and aim to create individualized treatment plans that emphasize movement, strengthening, and appropriate activity/lifestyle modifications. Ultimately, ensuring patients leave the clinic feeling educated, supported, and empowered to be active participants in their recovery is of the utmost importance to me.
Outside the clinic, I thrive on staying active, immersing myself in the great outdoors, hanging with my dog, and passionately cheering on my favourite sports teams (Go Birds!)

I grew up in a small town in Ontario where I enjoyed an active lifestyle playing hockey and any other sport that didn’t conflict with the season. Ultimately, it was when injuries left me sidelined that I discovered a passion for anatomy through my rehabilitation. With the combination of the care I received in treatment, the work I put in, and witnessing my body’s own innate ability to heal, I was inspired to change my career path entirely to support others on their journey to wellness.
I graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy where I was able to gain invaluable experience treating a variety of conditions across a diverse group of clients. I believe that movement is essential to maintaining optimal tissue health and function, and empower my clients to take an active role in their treatment. I’ve seen great benefits to incorporating movement during massage in conjunction with a blended approach of neuromuscular therapy, myofascial and trigger point work.
As an RMT, my mission is to provide a customized treatment plan that supports clients on their unique wellness journey as they recover, maintain, and thrive while doing the activities they love most.
Outside of work I enjoy getting outdoors and staying active with my family. As a lifelong learner, I look forward to continuing my education and strengthening my offerings within this practice.

Darren Bishop
Darren was born and raised in Prince George, BC, before moving to Kamloops to attend TRU. He later made the jump to Edmonton—trading mountains for long winters—to begin his physiotherapy career. He earned his Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2014, graduating with the Canadian Physiotherapy Award for top combined academic and clinical performance. Prior to that, he completed a degree in Chemical Biology, receiving the Governor General’s Silver Medal for the highest undergraduate GPA.
Over the past 15 years in Edmonton, Darren built a career that blends high-level clinical care with real-world performance. He spent 8 years as a Practice Director and Partner at a successful sports clinic and gym, while also gaining extensive experience in organ transplant care over 5 years. This background gives him a unique medical perspective—helping individuals recover from complex, life-altering procedures including heart, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, and guiding them back to meaningful, active lives. As a result, he has worked with a wide range of clients, from the general population, weekend warriors, post-operative clients and complex case to professional and Olympic-level athletes across several sports including soccer, hockey, MMA, and fitness athletes. He also was one of a few select practitioners in Edmonton designated as a shoulder specialist for the Bone and Joint Clinic and has completed extensive training for lower back rehabilitation and is certified in all of Dr. Stuart McGill’s courses, a pioneer in lower back rehab and performance.
His approach is straightforward: movement first, always supplemented with patient-specific hands on care, healthy lifestyle choices and clear communication and education. He integrates a strong foundation in strength and conditioning with a broad clinical toolkit that includes biomedical dry needling, advanced manual and manipulative therapy, spinal manipulation, concussion management, pain science, and nutrition. He is also a certified FRC Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and EXOS Performance Specialist, allowing him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance optimization with an encyclopedia of exercise selections, progressions and regressions.
He has also taught courses on Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training—one of his go-to tools for getting results when heavy loading isn’t an option. By combining low-load exercise with BFR, Darren helps build tissue resiliency, improve circulation and lymphatic flow, and reduce pain and inflammation—accelerating recovery all while using low load and preventing unnecessary strain to injured tissues.
Beyond clinical practice, Darren has taught and mentored other healthcare and performance professionals through his course Redefining Musculoskeletal Therapy, helping physiotherapists, chiropractors, athletic therapists, and coaches rethink how injuries are assessed and managed.
Darren takes a holistic, individualized approach to care—no cookie-cutter programs, no one-size-fits-all plans. Whether the goal is reducing pain, returning to baseline, or elevating performance, he builds treatment around what actually works for the individual.
Now back in BC, Darren is right where he belongs—closer to the mountains, surrounded by Canucks colours, and helping people move, feel, perform, and live better.
